Something beautiful

Getting up early to see the sunrise,
it installs a sense of hope,
perhaps a lucky omen?
A star full of happiness.

Hearing the first lambs of Spring,
new life is here,
small and adorable,
playing around in the grass, running into their mother.

That smell of freshly baked bread,
a joyous scent that lingers in your nose,
fresh warm bread is the best,
the smell is beyond incredible.

Your first taste of the Indian takeaway,
a delicious reminder of previous orders,
you bite into a part of your naan covered in sauce,
and your stomach soon becomes full.

To touch is to connect,
their skin on yours,
enjoy the moment, it may not last,
we all crave that human touch.
